Earth

A can flies out the window of the car and tumbles down the embankment coming to rest in the ditch. A passing train has the distinguishing marks of the Arabic language painted on its side. In the distance the roar of a chain saw makes its mark as the tall pine trees create a pounding sound as they hit the ground. Waterfall All of these activities can be classified as the ‘signs’ of the times.  Slowly and with what appears to be the absence of respect for the environment we humans are gradually diminishing the earth and its beauty.  Would we take a can of paint and throw it against the Mona Lisa, i.e. the earth?  Would we strip cut a forest leaving no ‘mother trees’ for rejuvenation? Would we overfish the ocean without regard for the ‘law of diminishing returns’ Unfortunately the answer to these questions is ‘yes’

Earth—the perfect place to dream, dance, walk in the rain, eat apples, ask questions, laugh, walk barefoot, whistle, hum, see a sunrise, keep a promise, smell the roses, be happy.

….the whole earth is full of His glory.”  …..the earth will wear out like a garment’…….the earth has been given to me to protect, restore and pass to the next generation.  Let there be a renewed respect for the earth,……and let it begin with me.
